My book is about a thirteen year old girl name Raspberry Hill. She is a black African American girl that lives in the projects with her mom and they don’t won’t to live there. Her mom is a hard worker. Raspberry is afraid of being homeless again. Time back, her and her mom lived on the streets, lived in family houses and got kicked out. Raspberry doesn’t wants to be on the streets any more so this is why she has her mind stayed on money. She will do anything to get her hands on money. She will get down and dirty, skip lunch, skip school, clean houses and sell nasty rotten candy to the kids in school. When she goes to school she always has candy and pencils to sell to the kids in the school. She has 3 friend’s name Zora who has a single farther name Dr.Mitchell that’s in love with Raspberry’s mother, which upsets both of them, Mia who wants to be identified as black, but has African American and Korean parents, Ja'nae who stays with her grandparents but is urgently wanting to stay with her mom.
If you could meet one of the characters, what one question would you like to ask them and why? If I could meet and ask one of the characters a question I would pick Jamie and ask her why she stopped the treatments and also how she stayed so strong through it all. I would ask her those questions because cancer is not easy to have. How did she stay so strong for years? Jamie has been dying for a few years and has maintained to stay healthy for this long. She had faith in the Lord and belief in her mother that she has never even met.
Doug Swieteck, from “Okay for Now”, by Gary D. Schmidt, lived a life in anger. At the beginning of the book, he was very hateful of everything. He had spent a long time in anger and disgust, trying to find a way in life. Near the beginning of the book, Joe Pepitone gave Doug his baseball cap and jacket in person, to Doug. But, Doug’s mean older brother took the cap and his dad took his jacket. That added to Doug’s anger even more. But, luckily he turned it around in the middle and end of the book. He ended being a lot happier and was able to control his emotions better.

In high school she attended a program for troubled adolescents and from there she received a wide range of support from helping her get braces to helping her get information to attend community college. Jim is an ornery and impatient teenager, desperately wanting to break free from the yolk of childhood to become the adult he has always desired to be and Will wants to stay inside his comfort zone, which involves him staying a child for as long as he is able to. Something Wicked This Way Comes accurately addresses the sometimes difficult transition from adolescence into early adulthood.

Mattie does not appreciate that she has a hard working mother that tries her best to raise her. When she was asked to haul water by Eliza and was called “Little Mattie”, her reaction was, “Little Mattie indeed. Another month and I’d almost be as tall as Eliza. I hated being called ‘little’. I sighed loudly, put my dishes in the washtub and my hair into my mob cap, I tied a disreputable straw hat…” Her tone suggests that she’s not ready to take on small responsibilities such as something small as washing the dishes.

Although both Giles and Martha Corey are accused of being witches, and two other characters self-identify as witches, the existence of witchcraft is never made definitively clear. Christopher Johnson McCandless, a.k.a Alexander Supertramp, “Master of his Own Destiny.” He was an intelligent young man who presented himself as alone but really he was never lonely. However, he believed that life was better lived alone, with nature, so he ventured off throughout western United States before setting off into Alaska’s wild unprepared where he died. Some may say he was naive to go off on such a mission without the proper food and equipment but he was living life the way he wanted to and during his travels he came across three people: Jan Burres, Ronald Franz, and Wayne Westerberg. McCandless befriended these people, it is believed that he made such a strong impression on them that their connection left them with strange feelings after finding out about McCandless’ death.
Charles, written by Shirley Jackson, featured Lurie, a young boy who attended kindergarten in the 1950’s. He was the older brother to his infant sister. Laurie often got frustrated that his parents were not giving him much attention anymore because of his little sister. Laurie then decided if his parents were not going to give him attention at home, he would find a way to get it elsewhere, like at kindergarten. Laurie played the role of Charles, a misbehaved boy who did not want to listen to his teacher. At first, Laurie was rude in class. However, as time progressed, he gradually adjusted to kindergarten and became the teacher’s helper. Ultimately, throughout Laurie’s kindergarten year, he expressed his anger by misbehaving in class and blaming his actions on Charles.
Her friends look and act like the typical southern belle that is a housewife and follows the rules set out for them in the Patriarchal south society, but Leigh Anne set aside those conventional views and stood up to her friends when they insulted and judged the decision to give Michael a home and family. The main character of Mr. Brooks is nothing short of a self-made man with a loving family and a productive business. However, not everything is what it seems. Mr. Brooks has a constant urge to kill.
