How does one define the change of culture, over time? Culture consists of many different elements, that influence our daily lives. For example, the clothes you wear, the food you eat and the education you receive, are all elements of culture. The list of elements goes on, but you get the idea. All elements of culture change with time. The three main elements of culture include, communication, religion and the spread of culture. These elements will be further discussed, in the following text. To begin, culture is often spread through innovation, diffusion and acculturation. Societies are always changing, and some quicker than others. Many societies have also shared religion, language and small elements of other cultures. Religion is the belief in a divine being, or beings, that keep the world in check. It is spread through diffusion and converted individuals. When people convert, they give up their old religion and adopt a new one. With that being said, major religions include, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. Amongst these religions there are small varieties of Asian practices. Many of these religions are monotheistic, polytheistic, or animistic. Monotheistic religions belief in one god and Polytheistic believed in many. Animism is a traditional belief, in which people follow divine forces, within nature. Interestingly enough, Hinduism does not fall directly underneath one of these categories. People that practice Hinduism follow many gods that are believed to be under one supreme god. Religion is constantly diffused and can be found in many countries, around the world. Ultimately, religion influences these societies because it affects the way these people live their lives.
