. A change of mind in science is hardly ever seen as a weakness because the goal of a scientist is to advance science further, to understand as much about life and all that surrounds it. If a change of mind is needed that is okay, because when it is wrong and not acknowledged science doesn’t advance. However, when a change of mind is needed that means that more thought, more input, more time, has been spent on the ideas, and that means that we can in all likelihood advance that much further because of it.
2. A scientific theory differs from a hypothesis in that, it has been tested and observed through rigorous experiments by several scientists. A hypothesis is an observable idea that any one person can have; unlike a scientific theory though, it has not been rigorously tested.
3. For a scientific hypothesis to be testable it must have consistently observable results. One must be able to test it, in order to either prove or disprove the hypothesis. 4. It is important to communicate with other scientists because other scientists will inspect and scrutinize what is being studied, but in a nonjudgmental manner that seeks to explore all the possibilities.
