Personal Statement (Who I am…):
I have happily lived in Colorado my entire life with my dad, step-mother, and two huskies. I enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences. I take pleasure in talking, which is why I love working with others. I love animals, funny people, good food, a soft blanket, indie movies, long hikes, captivating stories, and learning from others. My personality can pretty much be summed up by these words spoken by a Nobel Peace Prize winner: “Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”
What I want to do or pursue in the future (Some life goals…):
Whether I study patterns of epidemics, care for trauma patients, or create lifesaving vaccines, I would to have a career in the medical field. I aspire to travel the world and experience the beauty different cultures. I want to inspire people …show more content…

Whether it be the first time I saw hair under a microscope, my dad teaching dermatology lectures to his medical students, or winning numerous prizes in elementary school science fairs. Being in Science Olympiad this year has taught me so much and allowed me to excel in all categories of science. Getting the opportunity to represent my school in the state debate tournament my freshman year has allowed me appreciate public speaking. I have maintained straight A’s and am ranked in the top five percent of my class.
Artistic Interests/Accomplishments:
I have realized the value of how much happiness can come from a piece of paper and a pencil. My childhood nanny has had a great influence on my love of fine arts. The moment that I pick up a paintbrush, my sense of time vanishes. I have won best in show for the 3-D art category with a native american vase I made my freshman year. Other school art awards have also been won for paintings and drawings throughout middle school.
