Recommended: Censorship in modern day society

Censorship and Suppression of Ideas
‘If they give you ruled paper write the other way’ I think this means if they give you what is done in the past do things different create a revolution bring change. So basically, if you’re next generation is suffering dumbness and stupidity you are the reason because you are responsible of your actions and bettering society because you weren’t born to be ruled over you were born to be a leader and make the rules, the right rules. Not reading and missing out on history; which is your decision affects and leads not only you but the coming society the wrong way, and which leads to downfall of society. That is why you bring change, because if everyone decides to follow with what everyone else which are the corporations, celebrities and ‘stars’ are doing then you will end up dying for them and not earn anything out of it.
Now the way Censorship and the suppression of your precious ideas is done through brainwashing, twisted and assumed words, lessons of growing up and what you are taught in school and what you learn. All media, corporations and your beloved politicians who include one of the dumbest of your nation are the ones which lead you to ‘write their way’ not to rewrite history in an advanced way but the ‘right’ way. I wouldn’t like to use technology because it is advancement and advancement is needed but the brains working to get your world advanced and making you dumber earning all the money in the world is not right because neither are you earning anything from it nor providing but you are being taken things away from you and you are made relaxed and lazy so the brains could make you enjoy your ‘happy’ life like Montag says “I am Happy” when you assume you are but you assume, that it i...

...the way they were written rather than changing them. How all of this relates censorship and suppression of ideas is because when you censor books and your ideas you controlled and suppressed. You conform because you don’t think and that is why the biggest themes in the book are censorship and conformity because when the two things censorship and suppression are combined you are scared, dumb and have no sources to change other than pure hearts and a bunch of Montags and Clarisse’s and Faber’s.
In conclusion your own decisions is what leads to downfall of this and the next society because you are the leaders of this one and will create the leaders of the next and you my friend are the key to the next safe society so look at yourself in the mirror understand the role of the prophet towards humanity and then THINK! And free up your ideas don’t let them get suppressed.

    The theme of Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 can be viewed from several different angles.  First and foremost, Bradbury's novel gives an anti-censorship message.  Bradbury understood censorship to be a natural outcropping of an overly tolerant society.  Once one group objects to something someone has written, that book is modified and censorship begins. Soon, another minority group objects to something else in the book, and it is again edited until eventually the book is banned altogether.  In Bradbury's novel, society has evolved to such an extreme that all literature is illegal to possess.  No longer can books be read, not only because they might offend someone, but because books raise questions that often lead to revolutions and even anarchy.  The intellectual thinking that arises from reading books can often be dangerous, and the government doesn't want to put up with this danger.  Yet this philosophy, according to Bradbury, completely ignores the benefits of knowledge.  Yes, knowledge can cause disharmony, but in many ways, knowledge of the past, which is recorded in books, can prevent man from making similar mistakes in the present and future.

Those censoring the books obviously think so. They hold the belief that they are protecting their youth from violence, harsh language, and crude humor.
