Everyone has cell phones these days. Most people think cell phones should be banned during school because they are a huge distraction. Cell phones should be allowed in school if they are prompted by a teacher or administrador. There are certain times and situations cell phones should be used. Cell phones can help students focus, and work better, but can also be disrupting or distracting. The perspective that cell phones should be both allowed and not allowed in school, is an accordance with reality because of note taking skills, getting work done, and concentration. Listening to music on phones during school can also distract others. The music may seem to be playing too loud to others and can distract them from doing their work. People have different ways of focusing on their work and listening to music may be one of them, while it can distract be others or disrupt the class. If students finish their work early, they should be able to get on their cell phones. I believe students need a brain break. When students finish their work they keep themselves busy and quiet by playing on their phone. This helps students to have a brain break of school work and relax while others finish their work. Although, playing on your phone after you finish school work gives you a brain break, it also can distract and disrupt other classmates. If a classmate is trying to work and sees a game or social media on your phone they are going to get distracted from their work and be looking at your phone. Cell phones can also disrupt the class if a sound goes off that was unintended. Cell phones can be a helpful tool during school as well as a distraction or disruption. Cell phones help students to concentrate better, give students a brain break, and help students to have easier access to notes. Most people think cell phones only distract and disrupt students, but they don't realize the good things about cell phones and how they can help
