The progression of cell phones has developed at a tremendous speed. On the account of new technology providing expediency, it is also harming people in the course of action. To exemplify, the development of cell phones has had pessimistic effects on people; especially teens. Cell phones have become an obligation to everyday life for not only the youth but for adults as well; however, adults tend to use their cell phones in a more industrious way than the youth. For instance, the youth have turned the cell phone into more of a social device more than an industrial implement. Cell phones impact the youth’s priorities, communications skills and level of crime. Having access to cell phones in school is giving teens a reason to lose focus in school. Cell phones impact school focus by lack of sleep, lack of attention and lack of proper grammar. Many teens are constrained to sleep with their cell phones in close proximity in order to counter calls or text received throughout the night. Cell phones have affected the way people type, communicate, their lack of focus, theft, texting while driving, etc; however, with every problem there is a solution. Parents are the key to any problems with cell phone issue. Parents should set rules with teens with their cell phones such as, when they can use it, the purpose, and the consequences if the rules are abused. In contrast, for parents who are worried about their teen’s use of their cell phones, should identify what has caused the concern, how it is impacting the teens life, and what would you like for the teen to do. Overall, it is a very exhilarating to be a part of the technology world but teens need to know the limitations of having a cell
