Cda Competency Goal 1

Goal 1: Lizzie will improve her emotional and behavioral regulation.

• Lizzie was excited to show her mother what color she earned today at school.

• Lizzie accepted praise from the QP and wanted to go out in the community.

• Lizzie was observed in the library making noise and asked one of the staff members if they have toys in the library and stated, “I am bored its nothing here to do, but look at books.”

• Lizzie’s mother informed the QP when she takes Lizzie out in the public people often stare at them plus she has a hard time controlling Lizzie outburst and actions.

• Lizzie did not accept the QP constant redirection for to lower her voice and say excuse me to people when she needs to ask a question, and not get in front of others.

•

• Lizzie listened as the QP shared with her it is not the end of the world and her mother can take her to replace the reward then Lizzie started yelling “she is not going to want to take me today” the QP suggested Lizzie practice patience and wait to see what her mother will say instead of stressing over it.

• Lizzie’s mother informed her she would take her to replace the reward when they went out to eat later that evening.

• Lizzie made slight progress with improving her emotional and behavior regulation, as indicated by Lizzie not controlling her behavior while out in the community; however, Lizzie was able to calm down after receiving reassurance from her mother.
