Cat v. Dog
Many households occupy pets. Deciding on a pet can be a difficult
decision. The majority of the time people tend to choose either a dog
or a cat for their pet. There are many similarities as well as
differences between a dog and a cat. However, the differences
outnumber the similarities and usually serve as the deciding factor
between the two.
With either a dog or a cat, there will be a new addition to the
family. Much responsibility comes along with this new member. Both
depend on their owner entirely for food, shelter, and affection. The
dog and the cat require a great deal of time. Both a dog and a cat
expect daily attention. Owner loyalty is an advantage to having a dog
or cat. The dog and the cat will become good companions with their
owner. Both become attached to their owners and vice versa. A dog or
cat owner should be prepared for the loss of his or her pet. Both a
dog and a cat can become an inconvenience to clean up after. Shedding
hair on particular breeds is a hassle with both. Much like a child,
they are known to get into things and create unwanted messes. The
owner must watch where he or she allows his or her dog or cat to roam.
Both the dog and the cat can be inside or outside pets. A future cat
or dog owner should take in account the size of his or her home and
make sure that it can accommodate his or her new pet. Expenses are
another issue with a cat or dog. Veterinarian care is at least
required annually. Other health issues may be unavoidable and should
be expected. Depending on the size of the cat or dog and the brand an
owner chooses, food can be another cost. Whether or not an owner

pleasures of life that humans overlook. A dog wants to play endlessly.
A dog will retrieve a stick all day. A dog is never content with the
amount of time that itsowner gives them. A cat seldom wants to play
and is satisfied with a minute of batting at a dangling fake mouse. A
dog is also a great exercise partner, as long as its owner is willing
to follow behind a dashing dog.
Once the differences and similarities become apparent to a future dog
or cat owner, the decision is easy. One should choose a pet that is
compatible with his or her lifestyle. A dog and a cat are both great
additions to any family. Taking a life into one's hands is a important
commitment and should not be taken lightly. After the decision between
a cat and dog is made, it is easy to fall in love with the new pet.
Cats can be very lazy but dogs are not very lazy. Dogs can be fun and active while cats just like to sleep most of the time . Dogs are very smart and cats aren’t super smart dogs can find there way back home cats don’t really remember where they live by heart.Cats aren't that helpful dogs are helpful because when people can't do something or have a disability dogs will help those people.
It is true that there are people out there who are out of control on their financial spending in regards to their pet. This is the case for many due to the amount
A growing number of studies have attempted to support the theory that cats and dogs differ in their personality attributes. Several common factors have emerged across these studies, such as difference among social behaviours. Higher levels of dominance and hostility have been reported among domestic cats (as cited in Fonberg, 1985). Not surprisingly, domesticated dogs are higher in submissive behaviours (as cited in Marder, 1989). Woodward et al. also reflect upon previously held theories of companion animal attachment that suggest attachment is mediated by the needs of the owner and the characteristics of their pet.

Dogs are common throughout the world, either as a domestic pet, a protector on a farm, or an assistant for hunting amongst others. Regardless of the reason for having a dog, most people have either owned one for themselves or have known somebody who has owned one at some point in their life. Despite the relative normality of having a dog in your life in one way or another, the reasons for dogs coming into existence are not common knowledge among most people. Throughout a great portion of mankind’s history, dogs have been an essential part of life. The truth is, dogs were actually created in part by man.
Especially when, according to the American Pet Products Association, out of 73 million pet dogs, 31 million are classified by their owners as “mutts”.
The cat is a household pet his life is good. He never has to do any
I have never considered that a book about a dog could be so appealing and full of deep thoughts. But I changed my viewpoint after reading the autobiographical novel “Marley & Me” written by John Grogan which depicts an astonishing story about the neurotic and loyal, clumsy and loving dog named Marley. In fact, as the author mentioned in some interviews, he intended to write the “dog story”, but soon after he realized that it was impossible to do so without including the family life [2]. That is why the title “Marley & Me” encapsulates the main topic of the book such as the relationship between a human and a pet. To start with let me introduce main characters: John, Jenny, and Marley.
... and faithfulness that cannot be found from any other source. Even the most hardened of hearts can be touched by a cold wet nose or a comforting snuggle. Pets seem to be able to recognize and adapt to many of the conditions placed on them in our human environment. They can provide the sense of companionship, and love that is lacking in regular human relationships.
There are many reasons to get a pet. You could choose to get a pet for a companion, or simply to add to your family. Many older folk choose to get a pet after they retire or lose their spouse so they do not feel lonely. Many young couples choose to get a pet before they opt to have children, and many families add a pet to their home for their children. The question is though, what type of pet to get? Do you get a cat, or a dog? Having a dog as a pet over a cat is much more enjoyable and beneficial to your life, specifically because of their behavior, convenience, and loyalty.
There are the many differences and similarities between the most popular household pets, dogs and cats. These pets really do make a wonderful addition to the family; but, before you decide on which pet to bring home think about the different attention, grooming care, and bathroom usage for each of these pets, to make sure you are able to provide proper care for your pet. Having a pet is a lot of hard work, but in the long run it’s very
Dogs and cats are the most popular pets in the whole world. Even though they’re both very popular, they are different in many ways. Some people gravitate towards the calmness of a cat, while others seek the companionship of a dog. Cats are a lot more independent and less expensive. Cats don’t require nor do they want to be trained to be a house pet. Dogs on the other hand are very loyal and will act as your best friend. Dogs require more attention and training to be a well behaved family member. The main differences between dogs and cats are their personalities, habits, and training, which all determine what pet to choose.
I have a love for cats. Ever since I was a teenager I always wished for a cat of my own. When I moved in a three story apartment in California, the Manager of the complex said that cats were allowed in the units. I mentioned to my Aunt at the time that I was searching in the newspapers under advertisements for cats wanted. One cool breezy evening, my Aunt called me and said that a friend of her's named Judy had a cat named Katie who did not get along with her other two cats. So I agreed to meet with Judy to see if I'd love to adopt Katie.
I could be concocting my very best homemade Pad Thai, with shrimp money bags, and none of it was as impressive or as interesting as the furry cat on the couch, not to mention the personal escort to and from the car to the door from the sweet, polite, black lab outside. But I can't really blame my guests, for Charlie and Vegas' cute faces and gestures worked their magic on me as well. And more times than not, they got what they wanted in life. After losing Charlie in a car accident, and Vegas being returned to its rightful owner, I decided to get a new cat.
Two Ways of Viewing Cats and Dogs Cats and dogs share several similarities, but they are very different. These two animals are two of the most popular pets today. Some people prefer the company of a cat while others are deemed dog lovers. Through the various aspects of each animal, we will look at the similarities and differences each one holds, and get a better insight as to why these animals express such love.
