Abstract:Foxconn has a lot of people trying to commit suicide,this is caused by the company having low-wages,poor living conditions and harsh working conditions.If Foxconn does not fix this problem, there will be more suicides. This report concludes with 3 recommendations that constitute an action plan.They are: Increase worker’s salary Build more accommodation and basic facilities for workers Reduce overtime hours and change design of worker’s equipment 1.Introduction: Foxconn is a Taiwanese firm, and a subsidiary by American electric gizmos, which contained 420,000 workers. Source: SCOPE Workforce Perception and Satisfaction Report Figure 3 shows that after a full day of work, employees have different level of pain.Neck and Back pain were the most painful mention by employees(68.7%),followed by pain in hands and arms(52.2%),feet and legs(44.6%),and eyes(40%). 3.Conclusion: In Foxconn, There are many problems can lead to worker 's suicide. Hourly wages and meals, living conditions, hours of work and harsh working condition. If Foxconn can greatly reduce these problems immediately, the health of employees will be guaranteed. 4.Recommendations: 4.1 The firm should increase worker 's salary to solve this problem. This can be done in several stages: First,the new recruitment should not be lower than the standard wages limited by Chinese law.Furthermore, create a compensation agreement about double wages or triple wages with employees that protect them from losing income when they working overtime.This is a medium-term plan because Foxconn not only needs consider about the payment of appropriate wages of employees but also not less than the minimum wages required by Chinese law.This requires budgeting and forward
