Criminal Profile of Ted Bundy Ted Bundy grew up living with his grandparents in his mother's attempt to not be looked down upon for having a child outside of marriage. He grew up being told that his grandparents were his actual parents and his mother was his older sister. Ted sometimes showed signs of disturbing behavior when he was young. On one occasion, his aunt awoke to being surrounded by knives from the kitchen and saw three-year old Bundy standing beside her smiling. In 1950, Ted’s mother took him and moved them from Philadelphia to Washington. She later got married to Johnny Bundy, and that is where Ted got his last name. As far as his social aspects went, he stated that he “chose to be alone”. He went to a couple different universities but dropped out of them. He was dating two women around this time, but neither of them were aware of the other. Bundy displayed strange behavior from the beginning of his life, and he most likely was messed up because of his extremely dysfunctional family life. He wanted to fulfill his wants that resulted from his necrophilia, and I believe he would’ve done whatever it took to do so. Evidence found in his home showed maps and writings he had done with information about locations he wanted to go to find his next victim. What was found, clearly shows that he would come up with detailed and set plans before his attacks. He was very intelligent and had a lot of information about how to get by with something without getting caught. He also used household items to perform some of his killings so that shows that he had to sit down and think about what to do.
