Photography is an art that took much time and dedication upon person to person to perfect. Photography is the action of capturing a moment in time by recording light-sensitive material. Photography allows humans to express their feelings and emotions through their love for art.

The cost of equipment to be a photographer, and a decent one at that, can be very expensive. From the cost of lighting, to cameras, to lenses, to lights, to props, etcetera. The cost of a decent camera can range from one hundred to two thousand dollars. A basic high school diploma is needed, and most photographers complete postsecondary coursework or hold a degree. The level of education in photography all goes back to the individual wanting to become a professional photographer. Vocational training and knowledge of equipment, good technical abilities, or an associate’s degree might be adequate for some positions in the photography world. To provide a more range of options for a career and betterment, a Bachelor of Arts should be considered. Bachelor’s degrees normally include art, marketing, business, and other courses to enhance one’s education. Another benefit of a bachelor’s degree program is a polished portfolio, which is often a requirement for graduation. Photography courses go over the technical aspects of taking and handling professional cameras. Subjects that are covered in this type of coursework would include; photography history and theory, and relevant photography techniques. Getting work experience while enrolled in school also helps prepare for the photography field. While internships and summer related jobs are good, school newspaper, yearbooks, magazines, newsletters, and clubs can give you publishing opportunities to have photographs displayed and publicized.
