My Dream Career In today’s society, there are many different dream jobs to choose from, be it a job in nursing, the Military, Education, legal, or maybe even engineering. The list can go on and on as long as I am determined on finding the right job that fits me. I would have to weigh out the good and the bad of each one I considered. Every different one that I thought would be a good fit for me had some good points to them as well as some bad ones. At the end of the day, I have decided to go with a career in nursing. I jumped back and forth from nursing to a physical therapy assistant. It was a tough decision to choose one. They each offer something that I like and something I would be compassionate about working with people for the rest of my life. So, in order to choose the right one for me, I had to compare and contrast them both. Each career is able to help people in their own way, be it getting them back to the way they were after a big surgery or having to care for someone long term on a daily basis. Both careers have a wide demand in whatever state I live in or move too, so finding a job in either would not be a problem. Both have the same type of uniform which happens to be scrubs. Both have the opportunity to be able to advance higher with of course going back to school in order to get my masters. Being able to always better myself in the job I love is a great thing, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to do so. I did some research on salaries of each career. In the state of New Mexico, a RN makes about sixty-four thousand a year, on the other hand if I choose to go with a physical therapy assistant it would bring in about forty-seven thousand a year according to (salary, 2016). Monthly that would be five thousand as a nurse and around four thousand as a Physical therapy assistant. No matter which one I choose they both would bring in enough money to survive until I advance in the career I chose. I also took into concertation that if I ever planned to move to another state down the road, I needed to find out which state payed more in each field of choice. Sadly, Clovis is the lowest payed city for either career. I can move to Albuquerque and make way
