The word “Death” has connotation meaning to it. Many are afraid of the unknown, but others are fascinated. If there's death there must be a body to claim. The career of a Medical Examiner focuses on dead people. This is the next step of my journey I would like to accomplish. Due to the career research project I was capable to expand my knowledge and reflect about my future career. In this research I was able to acquire more information a about what a Medical Examiner is, the requirements and it's income. Although, I had a sense of what a Medical Examiner was like, I had to expand my intellectual thirst. The career Medical Examiner falls under one of the biggest field the medical field. Medical Examiners are people that find the cause of the victim's death. They are responsible for finding if the death was suicide, homicide, accidental, unknown, or natural(www.explorehealthcareers.org). As a M.E you are able to do autopsies on the body to collect evidence or factors that might have contributed to the death(www.learningpath.org). I love how corpses have to be open for examination of the organs and body. I'm not intimidated to see, cut, touch, or pull apart flesh. The inside of the human body excites me. I found out that this career expects a lot from an individual. As an undergraduate student one has an option to select a major. There's chemistry, biology, or physics to choose for a bachelor's degree(www.study.com). Next, you must have a four years of medical school, five years in a residential training of clinic pathology and anatomical, and one year in forensic pathology training(www.learningpath.org).
