An introduced species is a species living outside its native distributional range, which has arrived there by human activity, either deliberate or accidental. An example of an introduced species into Australia is a cane toad. The cane toad is an amphibian and are around 10 to 15 centimetres long, have rough and dry skin. Their colour ranges from dull brown, yellowish to blackish on top and mottled brown underneath. The cane toad is native to South and mainland Central America, but has been introduced to various islands throughout Oceania including Northern Australia.
