College in school is superior than online school because a student is able to have one on one time with teachers. Students are able to interact with classmates much greater in school than they would online. Also because people can take what someone said online and get a different meaning from it. CIS gets students more prepared for life than any online class ever will. Students have better interactions with teachers in school than they do online. Traditional colleges offer more direct interaction with faculty, which many students find helps them learn more effectively than communicating via computer. Students and teachers get to know one another way better than they would online because they actually talk to each other in person and figure out what each other are actually about. Teachers also can help a student get through a problem by working with them. Like in math class a teacher can talk a student through a problem and show them how to do it. Where online it would be a lot harder to do those kind of things. Students are able to make up test after the deadline and online teachers usually do not allow a students to do that. Also, on online, teachers do not help you with homework. They do not show you how to do anything and if you hand in an assignment late by accident or because you had stuff going on in your life they have no sympathy for you. In school a teacher would have a little bit of leeway and give you a chance to get some credit for the assignment that you did. You are also able to spend time with classmates. However on the other side of the spectrum college does have its benefits. A college places its students in real life settings away from home. It lets the students begin making decisions that they will deal with for their entire life.
As college is more advanced educationally and further assists their future in terms of employment, they both prepare students for their next step in life while helping them mature.
One major similarity between taking an online course and taking a face-to-face course is the content being taught. The style of the class does not affect what material is being given to the class. For example, if Brian is taking Algebra 2 online and Matt is taking the same course with the same textbook in a traditional classroom, they are both learning the same things. For this reason, it is a matter of availability and preference that determines whether a student should take a class online or in person. They are getting the same caliber of learning either way so the decision can be based off of personal preference.
...the traditional college is in peril. The traditional college is becoming less and is transitioning more towards accelerated online courses. This allows students to even obtain a degree over the Internet. This paper provides information on both sides of the argument and allows the readers to make their own decision after. Depending on your goals and what you want to achieve in the future, you should ask yourself is college really worth the trouble.
...t miss out on a lot, they miss out on getting to know your classmates that could help you in the long run, it helps on social skills and being able to put yourself out there in front of others. Also being able to show your professor that you are passionate at what you want to do in life and that you’re great at it is a great feeling and if your professor knows that most of them are willing to help you achieve that goal. With getting your masters online you sit down for a couple of hours and get the work you have due done without really having than in class experience. If you’re trying to make a better life for yourself why take away all the benefits that come along with taking your masters in a in-class setting?
School has been in our lives for the longest time and it has always been a positive experience. It sets students on a path to achieve their education goal and stepping stones to a career! Now with all the advancements in life, students have the opportunity to do online classes. This is useful if the pupil is not able to attend school or their school does not offer some classes that they would like to take. Experiencing both of these ways of schooling, I have an understanding of the differences between the two. The major differences between online school and traditional school are the flexibility opportunities, the communication with the teachers, and the time management/discipline from the learner.
I’ve taken both online and traditional classes before. There are some obvious differences and similarities, then there are some others that are not so obvious. For instance, the learning processes are different. In an online class, you basically play the role of both, the teacher and the student. In other words, it is self-driven; you are on your own and completely responsible for what you do and what you do not do. You really need a high degree of responsibil...
A college education opens the door to gain knowledge that high school does not give you. In college students obtain the knowledge of how to become more independent. For example, the students learn to choose their own class schedule, extracurricular activities, and how to organize your time.
Today’s generation is like no other. The nation as a whole has completely evolved from past times, with technology being one of the greatest improvements. Traditionally, schooling takes place in a classroom setting, but, with the many modifications in our world’s system, we are able to assimilate more modern means of education, such as online learning. However, with many changes comes differences and requires adjustments. The online learning system has proven to be just as effective as traditional learning, with some minor differences, however, nothing of great significance. So when it comes anyone’s time to make the leap into to taking college classes all I can say is choose wisely.
Some students enjoy traditional universities while others prefer online universities. If someone chooses a traditional university and then realizes that he or she is unable to keep up with his or her schedule and class work, this student might decide to try an online university. Ultimately, everyone chooses which route works best for him or her.
As the economy has changed in the last ten years so has the schools budgets and they are looking for ways to keep costs down. There is much evidence that distance education can be more cost effective than traditional education. Everyone can save a substantial amount of money by going with an online education because schools would not need facilities and equipment. Schools would also save money by not needing to provide services and programs to students. Students would save by not needing to drive to and from school, buy school supplies, and they can earn a degree in half the time than a traditional school setting.
Face to face students also gain from socialization with peers and interaction with teachers. According to Association for talent development, (2016),”One of the key elements of the learning process is the dynamic relationship shared between

According to “Effects of Technology on Classrooms and Students”, “students have a greater willingness to write or work on computational skills”. “They say student like the immediate results of having online learning.” Another advantage is that students can learn at their own pace. With learning at their own pace they will be able to actually know the information well. If, they are in a regular classroom setting they may no...
College is a critical stage for many young adults. When a student goes to a tradition college they are leaving the comforts of home and venturing out into a world that they have not yet been revealed to. This is where much discovery of self occurs; you have to learn how to fend for yourself. If a student were to stay at a community college or take online classes they typically would not be leaving their home. This will not allow them to gain the experience of that the traditional college student gets by being by themself. I have only been at traditional college for one semester now, but the knowledge that I have gain outside of my classes is something I would have never been able to match if I had went to a community or online college. College has taught me how I need to live my life; I am balancing full time schooling while living my life and making connect...
