Recommended: Importance of monuments

All around the world there are monuments of things that we like to honor or what we need to remember. There are meanings behind every monument that was built but, there is a question that many people ask like, how are each of them made and with what meaning. There are a ton of different reason on building a monument but, many people don’t understand what has to be done when building them. Many things vary from location, size and material, depending on where you are placing it will verify the answers for them. There are many things that are thought of when building monuments like, location, material, and size. For example the quoted Source E“...museum that is dedicated to victims and survivors of the Holocaust.” had to be a museum because you couldn’t just build a monument for it. This museum was one that honored but also remembered the one’s that were affected by the Holocaust. Through the reading of Source E we are told “It is not surprising that immediate and intense controversy erupted when plans were publicized to build the Holocaust Museum on The Mall in Washington, D.C.” This argument is one that has positives on both sides for example people didn’t want it built because of the terror everyone had to live through but on the other had they needed to be remembered. To me this argument wasn’t an easy one because you have to look at each side of the argument. This shows us the meaning and the purpose behind what the Holocaust was about. There are many things that lead up to the building of of monuments and museums. This was built somewhere where they can inform people about the Holocaust.
