Brotherhood Is The Only Thing You Need. Would you be willing to take a bullet for a friend? Would your friends take a bullet for you? You might think that they would, but if you stopped and thought, would they? We can see multiple versions of brotherhood in our friendships. In the book Of Mice and Men, George and Lenny’s friendship is a rare form of friendship. In the Coen Brothers’ film O’ Brother, Where Art Thou? We see Everett, Pete, and Delmar's friendship grow throughout their adventures. How do their stories, so different, still connect us with brotherhood and friendship? This quote shows loyalty by the fact that George and Lenny have been traveling around forever, when they made it to the farm Slim thought it was cool how they traveled together while the other guys thought it was weird. George had multiple times where he could have left Lenny and where Lenny even suggested that he could go live in a cave while George lived on his own. George refuses Lenny to go out on his own because they are partners and they look after each other. My parents always tell me that without honesty there is nothing, I half believe this statement. While I do believe honesty is important, not everything is based on it. In the Coen’s brothers film O’ Brother, Where Art Thou? Their relationship grows off of their adventures. Everett lies to Pete and Demar, telling them that this treasure is going to help them start their lives again. Pete and Delmar escape jail with him, hoping that this is their chance to make a right in the world. Everett knows the truth and that he is only trying to get out of jail to stop his wife from marrying someone else and to get his daughters
