The Seven Years’ War generated an uncertain change in Europe's alliance structure and stability of control. The war was waged to resolve the dominance of the power in Europe. The reason that was elemental was which country in the colonial field would dominate. And in America this war was also called the French and Indian War. During the war there were three essential areas where the war took place, “Nova Scotia and what was then Acadia, the frontier between New France and New York, and the upper Ohio River, gateway to the Old Northwest” (137). This conflict began in America, unlike the other three. There were three major points of conflict between France and Britain in America; the northern Atlantic coast, the border region between France and New York, and the Ohio Country (136). French and British soldiers butted heads over control of the Ohio Valley. There were arguments between the French and British about the control over the Ohio Country. This area was valuable because fur traders were provided means of entry to the east Coast ports and cities and the fur trade was an extremely profitable business. Another means of entry to the west frontier was the Mississippi River Valley, which was also very enticing territory (Wikipedia). To protect these beneficial territories and to prevent French control, troops were ordered out to protect them. Though in the beginning, for Britain the first part of the war was very ineffective and unsuccessful. The British feared the attacks from the French and their allies who were Indians. The attacks from the French and Indians were cruel; settlements were burned and demolished as they made their way through. Although then William Pitt was asked to take over affairs (138). Even Winston Churchill called it, “the first World War (Wikipedia),” and in any part of the world the sides could not manage to forfeit power or advantage. The French and British engaged in the Old World, Caribbean, and India, not only in North America. Even the Philippines saw war when Spain arrived in on the French side. Places of European power such as France, England, Spain, Prussia Austria, Portugal, and Saxony all took part in the war. During this period distressingly high deaths occurred. The globe was reshaped due to the global conflicts of The Seven Years War, just like the First World War. In today’s modern world, because of this global war it is an English spoken world
