Many people go to the movies because they are intrigued by the story that it presents. A lot of people may not realize that these movies come from books full of much more. Much more details, much more thrill than movies could ever create. Books are a door that will take us into a world full of adventure, in a way that movies will never be able to. Books are better that the movies because they give readers more details, they are easy to carry around, and they create a unique world to each reader.
Books will give the readers a look into a world full of color, with details that movies can never provide. Many times stories will be all about the details, details that pull the story together.
In the website WiseGeeks.org, they say that “he or she (the readers) decides many of the important parts: how the characters speak, what they look like and what their surroundings look like” The authors will provide the stories with such details because they want the readers to feel a certain way. The characters will become more than a name on the page, they become a real person, a true friend, they become more like family; we feel any and all pain that they endure, we feel the joy they feel, we understand the characters in a way that a movie will never be able to help achieve. Many young adults today grew up with the famous magical war against Voldemort, and they fought alongside with Harry Potter, Jessica Feinstein declares that “…Potter's real spell seems to be reminding college students that reading can be fun.” When people watch a movie they see the actors play the character, but in the books one can grow with the character and can feel what the character can feel.
