On the second day, Zipacna uses ants to trick the boys. He has a group of ants take some of his hair up to the surface to trick the boys into thinking he is really dead. The boys rejoice over their defeat of the god. On the third day, Zipacna causes the boys’ house to collapse on top of them. All Four Hundred Boys die due to the collapse. After their deaths, they are transformed into the constellation called Hundrath. Without delay, Hunahpu and Xbalanque will come to kill both of Seven Macaw’s children. The Hero Twins make a plan to kill Zipacna. Hunahpu and Xbalanque create a fake crab where they act as the forearms and control the claws. In an attempt to try and prove herself, Blood Moon is directed to follow certain tasks proposed by Xmucane. Xmucane orders Blood Moon to go gather a net of ripe corn as food for the children. Blood Moon accepts this seemingly easy request. When she comes upon the garden, there is only one clump of corn available. Blood Moon panics for a moment, for she fears of being turned away by Xmucane. She summons the guardians of food to help her grow more corn. The guardians comply and grant Blood Moon a full harvest of corn. At first, Xmucane is shocked that Blood Moon is able to get this much corn. She even investigates the garden to see if Blood Moon harvested all of their corn. Xmucane returns with great joy and announces that Blood Moon is her daughter-in-law. Once Xmucane accepts Blood Moon into her family, Blood Moon gives birth to the famed Hero Twins. The birth of Hunahpu and Xbalanque is sudden and occurs in the mountains. Due to their rambunctious nature, the twins are placed on several different terrains in at attempt to find their ideal spot to fall asleep peacefully. Their family tries placing them on an anthill, where finally they are able to sleep without
