When LeBron James was born, nobody would have guessed that he would have been the one to go all the way to the NBA and perform like he does. He has amazing talent and he knows how to use it. And what's so amazing about how he went all the way to the NBA, is he was living in a state of poverty with trouble all around him and still managed to make it tontine big times.Even though the odds of how he lived were against him, LeBron James managed to put his talent first and become one of the best basketball players in the world.
LeBron James was born December 30, 1984 in a poor neighborhood in Akron, Ohio (Smithwick 6). His mother gave birth to him when she was 16 and still in high school (Smithwick 6). All this goes back to how he was born in a poor neighborhood and the odds were definitely against him to make it where he is in life. James was the son of Gloria James and Anthony McCelland. James never knew his biological father, but his mom’s boyfriend was the closest thing he ever had to a dad, but he was put in jail for two years, so he wasn't to much of one, his mom was everything to him(Newsmakers B1). LeBron and his mom were always moving, so it didn't give him much time to get in trouble or hang out with the wrong people. He later started a family of his own while having his first son on October 6, 2004 with, at the time, Savannah Brinson, his name was LeBron , Jr (Biography D1). Later, his girlfriend , at the time, had their second son, Bryce Maximus (Contemporary C5). Finally, after having two children, James married his girlfriend, Savannah Brinson, on September 14, 2013 (Biography D6). ...a person in a single career. But if you asked anybody what his biggest achievement in his career is, they would probably say that it is making it through his life with all the troubles he had in his home life.
Just think if James would not have been born in such a poor and terrible neighborhood, he may not have fight in him to have made it. And if he didn’t play sports as a child he might have got in trouble just because he was in such a terrible neighborhood, so sports kept his mind occupied and he didn’t get into too much trouble. James tried to help his neighborhood out by donating 1000 backpacks to the Akron and Cleveland areas (Contemporary C6). He knows how it is to live in a life like that, he wants to do everything to help, even though he really didn’t have anybody to help him. Even though the odds were against him he used that talent and went all the way.
