Rudolf Hess, or Rudolf Walter Richard Heß, was a German Nazi Deputy Fuhrer, the title of the head of the Nazi Power, appointed by Adolf Hitler (Google). Most people saw him as a shy, odd, and distant man. He was not only an odd, distant deputy, but he was also a prominent politician in Nazi Germany. During the Second World War Hess was on the Axis powers, specifically the German Nazi party. His effect in World War II was that he was the reason so many Jews had to meet their deaths, and he was the man who flew a ME110 to Scotland, to try to negotiate a peace treaty with Britain, only until 1941. During that time, he was the Nazi Deputy who chose if the Jews lived or died. Hess was very close to Hitler, so close that they were friends with each other. Some people even say that he was Hitler’s most loyal follower.
Rudolf Hess’s childhood was very odd; he was born in Alexandria, Egypt, because his father was in charge of running an export/import business. Since he was exposed to the kind of environment that included having to make hard choices, he was in the perfect setting to become a strict, leader. This environment also is probably where his did’t develop “people skills”, and that is why people called him odd and distant. Out of his three siblings, he was the oldest, making him a decent leader from the beginning, which will make his work in World War II very easy. His family was very wealthy, thus he was able to attend the University of Munich, there he studied political science and was influenced by his Professor Karl Haushofer, who was a former general who had theories on expansionism, and he also race formed the basic of the concept of Lebensraum. ...e was in prison. We do know however, that he was a very compliant prisoner. Hess never felt any remorse for what he did to all of those innocent Jewish people. There is no official written records of how Hess passed away, but the largest belief is that he hung himself with an extension cord, but many people today speculate that he was too old and frail to be able to do such a thing.
Rudolf Hess was a very intelligent man. He did all of this to try to help Hitler, out of his loyalty and faith in him, but when Hitler heard of what he had done, in a frenzy, he revoked all of his ranks. This is unhappy because all he was trying to do was help Hitler out, but instead it turned out to be the biggest mistake of his life. Rudolf Hess was a much laid-back man, but he could be very cruel at times. He was a very import man in the eyes of every Nazi during World War II.
