The Course of Binge Eating From Adolescence to Young Adulthood The purpose of this study was to determine the development of binge eating from adolescence to young adulthood. The researchers examined rates of binge eating maintenance and cessation at two follow-up time points over a ten year time span. They then sought to identify predictors of maintenance/cessation of binge eating. The examination of psychosocial changes from young adolescence to young adulthood represents a significant improvement over existing studies (Goldschmidt, Wall, Loth, Bucchianeri, and Neumark-Sztainer).
