Billie JR was sitting in his room playing with his toys, but he knew that he was in trouble for his actions in school today. Billie JR was very disrespectful to his teacher, he acted like this because of his friends. Also, he was not turning assignments that he needed to have done, which made his grade go down in that class. His dad Billie SR was not very happy with his son’s actions in school. When Billie’s dad got home, he was angered and knew what had to be done. As he was coming down the stairs, he took off his belt and he wiped Billie JR with it. As he cried Billie knew that he had to start acting right in school.
There are many interesting quotes of the protagonist, Harold “Peewee” Gates, that stood out to me in the book Fallen Angels by Walter Dean Myers. There were many quotes that revealed about his life but there were two that stood out to me. In a conversation Peewee is talking to Perry about how is life in the United States and army life are different. “‘But this is the first place I ever been in my life where I got what everybody else got.’” ~Peewee (page 15) This quote reveals that Peewee came from a rough place and grew up in poverty since this is the first time he has had what everyone else has. It also shows how strict his mother was because he wasn’t allowed to have what everyone else had or what he wanted besides basic necessities.

In books, the reader can usually relate to the characters with traits or preferences. While reading Schooled, a character I can make a strong connection to Darryl. Darryl makes lots of mistakes on accident the he didn’t mean to do. For example, when Zach and Hugh set Cap up to be hit by the football team, Darryl had been the one that hit him first. He and Cap were friends and he would never mean to hurt Cap in that way. After Darryl hit Cap, he felt lots of remorse that he had hurt a friend. I will do stuff like put a glass on a wood table and it gets stained. I didn’t even think about it but it still got me in trouble. In O’Brien’s story “The Things They Carried”, Jimmy Cross thinks the death of his comrades, Ted Lavender is his fault but it’s not. Jimmy Cross was only 22 year old too young to be First Lieutenant. Jimmy Cross’s obsession with Martha reading and a daydreaming about her letters. In which Jimmy Cross’s mind could escape from the ugliness of the war. In Vietnam War, being a strong leader over the troop is impossible the war’s mission are undefined. Ted Lavender’s death was a great tragedy of the Vietnam War, and not the fault of Jimmy Cross.
Alex said in his testimony “I gave a fake number for my parent – I knew I’d want to skip some days and not get in trouble when I did.” (11) Here, Alex is saying that he had already planned to skip school which explains the fact that Alex Billings missed a lot of school days. In her testimony, his mother stated, “He had missed more days of school than he had attended! Also, his grades were terrible! And I did not receive so much as a phone call about this from KHS! They didn’t even notice that he wasn’t there.” (16) Of course, his mother wouldn’t receive a phone call. Her son had the audacity to give the school a fake number, making it impossible for the school to get ahold of her. “With school as bad as it was, video games became my main priority. I would stay up all night to beat a level.” (12) It is likely that Billings just wanted to stay home from school and play video games, and his absences had nothing to do with Pearson’s comments whatsoever. CJ Pearson should not be charged with intentional infliction of emotional distress because it is very clear that Billings had another motive to stay home.

Kaylan Little’s mom, Ms. Covington, called around 2:20 today February 8, 2017. She stated that Kaylan was upset because Mr. McKnight was saying she had a bad attitude, needed to go the alternative school, and was gossiping with other teachers regarding her behavior in the hallway. Kaylan’s mother was concerned with Mr. McKnight’s lack of professionalism. I pulled Kaylan out of her 4th core class which is also Mr. McKight’s class. We talked about her concern regarding Mr. McKnight addressed her. We discussed that she has him 3 times a day and she does not feel like he respects her. We also discussed that there was an incent last year in which Mr. McKnight was accused of using the “n” word and she still has some animosity towards him.
The Crucible was the turning point in literature and in history. It showed how people were convicted with only a minute amount of evidence. The only thing that would have caused a person to be convicted was if people went into hysterics. However, for someone to be accused of using witchcraft, someone else has to say he or she had seen them practicing it or they were the only person who could see it. The trials caused some of the characters to learn new attributes about themselves. Elizabeth Proctor is more reserved. John Proctor, on the other hand, is more prideful; whereas, Reverend Hale is more confident. These three characters go through their own personal journeys and uncover the person within them beneath the surface, which in turn broadcasts their true identity to the audience.
First of all, he realized the stereotyped the white people labeled very early in school and that these labels followed them throughout their education levels. He equally knew that labels have influence on how teachers and staff react to kids and it contribute the quality of the education Trent will obtain. Joe did not want such a thing to happen to Trent; Joe showed enthusiasm when he was authorized by her field instructor to pursue the case. He started by gathering all the information that is relevant to make this case successful. Joe set a goal through research by reading Trent school record and collaborating with Trent’s teacher, psychologist, and all the staff involved in the case. Joe called Trent father over the phone and asked some questions, which resulted in a face to face interview at school. This process helped Joe to understand the genesis of Trent problem. Joe developed a helping relationship with the family that aid her to follow up through home visits, which is where the family was comfortable to open up and talk. In the meeting at the Trent’s father house Joe was able to get the information that aided him to initiate the action plan for the case. Joe carried the plan by having several meetings with the school psychologist, the teacher, the aide, Trent, and his parents. Through these meetings the intervention plan was devised. Joe identified goals that will help Trent maintain the appropriate behavior at school and at home by using a chart. The chart says Trent should keep his hands and feet to himself, using good manners, walk in line, and sits in his seat correctly. Joe equally created a plan of grouping Trent and other five boys in one group which has similar problem like Trent.
