Bill Of Rights Logos Analysis

The Bill of Rights uses logos more effectively because it provides a logical reason on what the ten amendments do. What the ten amendments is that they are constitutional laws where everyone has to follow it. In the Obama speech it uses logos as well. The most rhetorical appeal that both of these documents share is logos.

There are many ways that the Obama speech portrays logos. For example in his speech he states that, “We’ve worked together to give more of our children a shot at a quality education; to help more families rise up out of poverty; to protect future generations from environmental damage; to create fair housing; to help more workers find good jobs”. President Obama uses logical reason in this quote because he is giving reasons for how we help students get a shot at education and how we helped unemployed people find good jobs. Another example where President Obama uses logos is where he states, “Murderers, Predators, Rapists, Gang leaders, Drug kingpins we need some of those folks behind bars. Our communities are safer, thanks to brave police officers and hardworking prosecutors who put those violent criminals in jail.” What this means is that President Obama is giving a good logical reason as into why these criminals

An example for where the Bill of Rights uses logos is where it states, “Americans cannot have their personal property searched without a proper warrant”. What this means is that the 4th amendment is given an absolute logical reason for why americans cannot have their house searched. Another example is where the Bill of Rights shows the rhetorical appeal of logos is where in the 5th amendment it states that, “ No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury”. What this means is that it shows logos by the person not testifying against himself without a proper
