Recommended: Definition of character
Character is a difficult topic to discuss considering character is always changing to involve something more. Though organizations like the Beta Club attempt to promote character, millions of people believe that society today has a striking absence of character. People who attempt to strengthen society’s character by pointing out its shortcomings push progress. Character is the overall collection of morals that any given person possesses. In my opinion, this definition of character indicates that people can have exceptional character or poor character; quite often, though, character is used only in a positive connotation. The difference between exceptional character and poor character is constantly changing, depending on society's outlook
People have goals everyday, believe it or not some people think that dreams aren't worth it. I believe that it is worth it to dream because it gives a person a goal, it makes them feel good, and it makes them stronger. I know this from The Pearl, A Cubs video, the Susan Boyle video, and We Beat the streets.

Character is often the setting stone on what a person is judged upon. For someone to have character, they must noticeably stand out, and do extraordinary tasks that a normal student would not usually do. From school activities to sports clubs, I myself carry unique characteristics that set me apart from other students.

With the buzz cut of a geek, Kenny Wright snuck his way into my heart. Kenny is a newfound middle schooler at a rundown middle school called Union Middle. He is a chess fanatic and rarely loses a game to his best friend, Arthur. Kenny get bullied at school because he lives with his grandma (who he calls G-ma), so everyone except Arthur calls him Grandma’s Boy. Kenny’s real problem is the D-Squad/Detention Squad who torment, bully, and hit him whenever there are no teacher’s around. One member of the D-Squad is Ray-ray Powell who is not a physical type of bully but instead a very irritating one. He always steals Kenny’s food when he has a perfectly good lunch just to annoy him. In the cafeteria, Ray-ray started a food fight with Kenny, and landed
Character education has been defined in many ways and through the review of research literature; many of the definitions amongst them share mutual premises. In John Hoge’s research study about character and citizenship education and the social studies, he defined character education as, “any conscious or overt effort to influence the development of desirable individual qualities or traits” (Hoge, 2002). The schools that were included in a study conducted by Paul Dovre in 2007 were deemed to be National Schools of Character. According to his research, they “exemplified Character Education Pa...
In the episodic drama, Life is Strange, we follow Maxine Caulfield and her best friend Chloe Price. The two must work together in order to save Chloe’s best friend, Rachel Amber, who has been missing. Max maybe the main character but Chloe seems to be the real star of the show. Chloe is a rebellious nineteen-year-old girl in a somewhat broken home. She has a great personality, has mixed relationships with the others, and has the greatest part to play in the whole series.
What words come to mind when you think of someone that has character? There are many different ways to describe someone who has good character and some of the qualifications are integrity, loyalty, and faith. Would you consider yourself a person of good character?
As Dr Vilma has aptly explained, “Character cannot be taught but “caught” through the experience of doing and then reflecting on your experience” (Educating Values-driven Citizens, p.8, 2012). In dedicating specific periods in the time table for CCE, students become aware that teachers intend to impose values on them to emulate. When the objectives are made explicit, students will either outright reject the concepts being taught, or exhibit the desired qualities and characters for the sake of doing so, but not practice it outside the school compound. 8. Related to this, Kohn (1997) has claimed that the techniques of character education may succeed in temporarily buying a particular behaviour, but they are unlikely to leave children with a commitment to that behaviour, a reason to continue acting that way in the future (p. 11). The teacher in the discourse of CCE will be seen as one who is vested with the role of being a character model that amalgamates good character with good citizenry qualities. Hence, teachers should do their part and practice constant modelling of the behaviours we seek to cultivate in our students, so that they become accustomed to moral conduct, and over time, the values will be deeply ingrained in all that they
Noah is the one of the main characters of The Notebook. He is the hero of this novel. Noah represents true love and true loyalty. In a way, The Notebook is similar to every modern day romance movie, and Noah represents the “dream man” that all the girls always imagine of having. The characters in movies are used to symbolize ideas, and in this novel, Noah represents true, faithful, committed love. Noah remains loyal to Allie even in the situation where he is unsure whether they will ever meet again or not.
Character is what you are in the dark, being your self when people are not around you or acting out when people are surrounding you. The people you know, the people you try to impress, and the people you want to be with you threw thick and thin. The quote comes in action when ever a person acts different as they would normally would , its like when I meet a new person and I do my best impression to help that person fell welcome in my presents and then after that I go behind his back and make jokes about that person. It's like you seeing a person's true colors when you are no longer beneficial to their life.
I suppose one could say there are two sides to every coin. The coin being myself, I know that this statement is true. Although I am a person of many different characteristics, I basically boil down to the person I am and the person I hope to be. What is the goal, I ask myself. So many people strive to be so many things. For some the aim is money, beauty, security, power, influence; who has the nicest house, who has the fastest car- the list goes on and on. Not that any of these things are bad in and of themselves, but the moral and ethical standards of our society have been left behind in the pursuit of these pleasures. So, what is important? Is character even needed in the new century? Here is where I have to believe that most people are in the same pickle that I find myself: how do I live a happy, successful life in the company of others? Is what I do and how I treat those around me going to effect the world I live in? I believe the answer is yes.
