Since the 1900s, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been a developing trend in the hospitality industry and until today is one of the pillars in many of the corporations’ public relations tool.

There are three kinds of sustainability: social, economic and environmental. Through sustainability they have observed the positive impact it has had on the company’s brand image, allowing them to decrease their operating cost, enhance competitive advantage, reduce waste and attract investors and employees.

ITC Maurya, Delhi has been awarded the ‘Best Eco Friendly Hotel’ at the prestigious National Tourism Awards, hosted by India’s Ministry of Tourism earlier this year. The hotel received the accolade from the Indian Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Shashi Tharoor, at a ceremony held in New Delhi.
