The beginning of the victim of crime as an area of study is largely the ware of the past sixty years. Benjamin Mandelson came up with the scientific study of victim of crime in 1937 and introduced the science of victim, in which he established the concept victimology in 1947 (Ben-David, 2000, p. 55). According to (Dussich, 2015, p.116) victimology have a various concepts that explains victimology, this include the victim which is a person who experiences an offense. For example, the victim of rape, murder, robbery and burglary. He further explains that crime victims is the person who has been emotionally, physically and financially affected by crime committed by someone who is a criminal. Therefore, there is a big argument when it comes to defining who the victim of crime is, as the term itself is subjective, because not every victim of crime perceives each threat as a crime, depending on different demographics, culture and race. The rise of victimology as the scientific study of data that explains the relationship between the victim and victimization date back from the ancient Babylonian and Greece. This include the events leading to victimization, for example walking at night and using the same path every day as that kind of behaviour might lead to a person being the target of victimization.
