The Electoral College is a system set in place by the United States founding fathers to balance between a total democracy and a republic. The system uses Electors chosen by their respective states, to decide who will be the next Commander-in-Chief of the United States of America The Electoral College is a complex, but efficient system that represents smaller populated states in a more fair manner. To begin, the Electoral College is an intricate system. The Electoral College uses a Census every ten years to determine the Electoral votes for each state.
