Probiotics is food which contains a number of live bacteria that gives a beneficial effect on health. The term probiotic means a preparation consisting of microbial life that is inserted into the body of the human/animal orally, is expected to have a positive influence on the health of human/livestock by improving the properties owned by natural microbial living in the human body is (Winarno, 1997).
Probiotic foods have long been known among other fermented milk products by lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacilli and Bifidobacterium) as yoghurt, Yakult, acidophilus milk, and others. Probiotic products proven to provide health benefits and therapeutic. This benefit is obtained as a result of carrying bacteria live in the digestive tract that can improve the composition of intestinal microflora leading to the dominance of bacteria that are beneficial to health when consumed in sufficient quantities (Prangdimurti, 2001).

We have had many developed probiotic foods are made from plant-based materials. cereals are one of the abundant food sources and not fully utilized. One alternative to utilize the cereals is to process it into a product in the form of drinks and serves as a prebiotic that stimulates the growth of beneficial bacteria so that the numbers will urge and displace pathogenic bacteria.
