The Beltway Sniper attacks took place in October 2002 around the Washington D.C. area killing 10 people, injuring 3, and causing paranoia for weeks. All of the shootings took place in the Washington D.C. area and on Interstate 95 south. The shootings lasted for 3 weeks. John Allen Muhammad 41 and Lee Boyd Malvo 17 were arrested and proven guilty with the attacks. Lee boyd malvo was on the run while the killings were taken Pace for the 18 murders in total including the ones in california before coming and doing the sniper attack he also plead guilty too those murders The shootings happened at gas stations and parking lots around the D.C area. Martin who was shot and killed in a grocery store parking lot. On October 3, 2002, there were 5 attacks over a 15 hour time range. At 7:41 a.m. 39-year old James L. Buchanan is shot dead while mowing the grass at the Fitzgerald Auto Mall. Just a little over half an hour later at 8:12 a.m. 54-year old Premkumar Walekar is killed while pumping gas into his taxi. Twenty-five minutes later, 34-year old Sarah Ramos is shot while reading a book on a bench. At 9:58 a.m. 25-year old Lori Ann Lewis-Rivera was killed while vacuuming her van at a Shell gas station. And at 9:15 p.m. 72-year-old Pascal Charlot is shot while walking down Georgia Avenue, he died an hour later. The next day on October 4th, 43-year old Caroline Seawell is wounded in a parking lot outside of Michael’s craft store. On October 7th, Iran Brown a 13-year old boy was shot and wounded after getting dropped off at school. October 9th, 53-year old Dean Harold Meyers was killed at a gas station. October 11th, 53-year old Kenneth H. Bridges was killed at an Exxon gas station off of I95. October 14th, 47-year old Linda Franklin was shot dead at a Home Depot in Falls Church, Virginia.
