Pictured above is the Battle of The Atlantic, September 1939 - May 1945 This was one of the bloodiest battles and longest battles fought during the second World War. The Battle was fought between the Allied forces and Axis forces in order to gain control of the sea routes between the Americas, Europe, and Africa.
