In my hand, I can feel the smooth yet rough ticket. Its long rectangular shape makes it fit awkwardly in my hand. This ticket has bright colors of red, blue, and white. These bright colors form a memorable picture ingrained in my mind. This ticket will let me experience the game of baseball, the greatest game in the world. I will not only get to watch the game of baseball, but I will also get to watch my favorite team, the Texas Rangers, play.
Globe life Park is an amazing place with amazing experiences. Globe Life Park is a place where I can experience my favorite sport and my favorite team. When I step into Globe Life Park the atmosphere changes. The air around me feels heavier and the sound traveling through it is amplified and echoes off the thick concrete structure. That feeling sends my body into a form of shock where it’s hard to breathe. The whole place just feels unreal with the weird sensation of serenity from the noise of the game.

The bright green fresh cut grass, the dragged dirt which looks as soft as a cloud, and the stadium itself which towers over everything near it. When going to a baseball game there are many variables to factor into what is going to happen. In baseball, anything can happen that is why when going to a game I can only hope to see great things. What I hope to see is vivid and bright red, white, and blue fireworks go off after a Texas Ranger home run. I hope to see an amazing diving play to save a scoring run. I hope to see the Texas Rangers pull out with a hard and deserving
Other marketing strategies used in during this farewell season are commemorating former players, coaches, and hall of famers as well as a count down display in left field. The display is being used to count down the number of home games left this season. The count down will reach zero during the 5th inning of the final home game against The Detroit Tigers which has almost been sold out, nearly six months in advance. These marketing strategies have proven to be beneficial and should be continued considering the attendance is up from last year. However, there is always room for improvements. The Atlanta Braves should consider new marketing strategies to improve fan experiences which will improve overall fan satisfaction as discussed earlier. Strategies to improve fan experience involve anything that will create a “valued experience” for a consumer (Sarstedt, 2014). Bringing old traditions from Turner Field to SunTrust Park is one way to create a valued experience for fans who are disgruntled over the move to Cobb County. Being that the Atlanta Braves are a team of tradition, it would be wise to implement old traditions in the new stadium to not only satisfy the concerns of disgruntled fans, but to bring a sense of community to the new stadium for the entire fan base.
Baseball is a unique sport in many different ways. It is the only major competitive sport that has no time limit. The success of a player is determined on how well he can play as an individual and how well the team plays along with him. There are many rules that determine the success of a player’s performance. A baseball game is played with two teams and each team is permitted 25 players per team; however this is only true for professional teams. There are three parts to baseball: offense, pitching, and defense.
Its America’s pastime. Since 1869, the MLB has been the sweetheart of American sports. A requisite to be a true American is to have a conceptual understanding of baseball; the seventh inning stretch, “Take Me Out To The Ball Game,” as well as hotdogs and warm summer nights at the ball park are all favorite memories of American pastime. However, what one might not realize is the extreme physics behind the game. The velocity of the pitch, and degree of the ball exiting the bat, the exit speed, and how an outfielder throws are entailed within the physics of baseball. It is important to understand the physics involved with baseball to grow in understanding and appreciation of the sport.
Kids’ baseball is a really great American tradition. Fathers can relate to their kids who play Little League because male adults remember the experience as something vital that taught them life-skills and socialization during their youth. Little League is as American as apple pie and now the rest of the world is finally wonderfully acclimated to enjoying everything American including baseball.

Alexander Cartwright formed and developed the rules for baseball in 1845, and went on to develop and manage the baseball clubs in New York. As we know today, the teams have spread throughout the entire U.S. to make up the 30 teams that are present in our MLB today. Americans began playing baseball on informal teams, using local rules, in the early 1800s. By the 1860s, the sport, unrivaled in popularity, was being described as America's "national pastime." Alexander Joy Cartwright of New York invented the modern baseball field in 1845. Alexander Cartwright and the members of his New York Knickerbocker Base Ball Club devised the first rules and regulations for the modern game of baseball.
Baseball is America’s past time. No two fields are exactly identical. The only identical portion of a baseball field, depending on the league you are in, is the infield. Every Major League Baseball park has the exact same dimensions for the infield, which is a four sided square laid like a diamond with each side being equal to ninety feet. The game of baseball is played between two teams using wood or metal bats, depending on league rules, league regulated sized ball, and baseball gloves. The game is started with the home team taking the field first. The home team will pitch to the visiting team trying to get three outs. Out can be made by a batter swinging and missing on strike three or fielder catching the ball in the air, or off of a bounce and proceed to throw the runner out at the base. After three outs are made the teams swap places and do the same thing over again. When the next team gets three outs, that makes up an inning. Most games are played with nine innings; however there are some younger leagues that just play with six innings. This is the basic structure of a baseball game, but the game of baseball ball is made up of so much more detail.
Baseball has been a part of me for quite a while now. I have done something baseball related each week for the past several years. It has really changed what I like to do in my spare time, and it also had changed my priorities. This was the first sport I would have played, and I haven’t played a different sport since the start of me playing Baseball. There were and still are so many ways baseball has changed my life.
A travel of over 3000 miles for some, a 210 mile drive for me, just to arrive at the biggest gathering of over 1,500 twelve year olds; all just to play baseball. The only place that would be suitable for such an event is Cooperstown Dream Parks, every baseball players heaven. Cars have come to Cooperstown from everywhere for this week long tournament. I met children my age from all over the United states. I became friends with kids from Ohio, Illinois, California, I even met a player from Puerto Rico who barely spoke any english. The windows of everyone 's car decorated with the names and numbers of teams and players. Excited baseball teams spill from their Barracks and hustle toward the already crowded seating area. One diamond, four plates, nine players, a sweaty uniform, cleats, a bat, and a ball are the only things I’ve dreamt of since my first baseball practice when I was three years old. I remember the way it felt to smack the ball off of the tee and have everyone in the stands cheer and scream for me as I ran for first base as fast as I could and never wanting to leave the field even after it had gotten dark outside and all the field lights had been shut off. Baseball has been all I’ve ever wanted to do with my life from the very beginning. I can’t imagine doing anything other than eating, sleeping, and breathing the game of baseball. So when people ask me, “What are your plans after high school?” all I’ve ever known myself to say back was, “I’m not sure but it 'll have something to do with baseball.” With this being said, I have decided to be a baseball coach so I can pass down the knowledge I have for the game I love so much to people younger than me that love it just the same as I have and still do.
For most sports fans there is nothing like opening day and a baseball field. In recent years I have over heard several people say Baseball is not the National Pastime or National Game any longer. When I query these people the typical response is Football is our new National pastime/game. Frank Deford (Nov 7, 2012) a writer for Sports Illustrated said, "Baseball is what we used to be. Football is what we have become." I refuse to believe this based on my knowledge of both games. In this paper we will exam the facts and I would submit to you that Baseball is still the National Pastime/Game and it cannot be disputed.
The sport of baseball was once unrivaled as the top sport in American culture and entertainment. However, since that time when baseball stood alone in sports with notable stars spanning over multiple decades such as Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and Hank Aaron, it has rapidly declined and no longer retains its position as America's pastime. The MLB has steadily lost viewers year after year and shows little sign of regaining its former popularity. This drop in viewership comes as a result of an overall slower pace of game and a wavering interest of the sport among younger people. Baseball's depleting number of viewers, diminishing pace of the game, and its aging demographic are all key contributors as to why baseball has officially lost its cool.
Whether it has been a year, or you have never seen it. It is always the best. There are pictures that I have seen of it. I have seen it on TV, but nothing does it justice. The first time I saw it, I was astonished. The grass in the outfield is cut perfectly in a checkered formation. The dirt on the infield is watered down so that it looks perfect. The dark green ivy covers the whole outfield wall. It depends what time of year someone goes to a game. If someone were to go in April or May, the ivy would be still a light brown color. Then when June, July, August, and September roll around, the ivy is that dark green color. Once we get into the ballpark, we went down to field level and watch the players warm up. My entire life I had pushed for success through baseball. I have a passion for baseball more than anything on else in my life. I began at a very young age and have spent a large majority of my life preparing and bettering myself for an upcoming game or season. As I've grew I've came to a realization this is a game of failure. I have failed twice as many times as I've had success. Still I find myself resorting back to this sport. As I've developed I have continued to train and push myself. At age 15 I stopped and asked myself “what is this for?” Now I am closing in on age 18. I still find myself stopping and repeating the question.
The moment had finally arrived, we were about to enter the newly built stadium. As we approached the entrance, there was a small line of people waiting their turn to be frisked. While waiting in line, I noticed that there were certain things not allowed into the stadium for safety reasons. One lady had a large chain that resembled a dog chain in her pocket. The guard told her to take it back to her car or throw it in the trash. When the lady threw her chain in the trash I realized how devoted some of these fans really were. I thought to myself," maybe I'm not as big of fan as I thought," and continued through the gates. After our entire group got through security we had to separate, due to the different seating assignments.
