Horses are a majestic creature that have been used since the dawn of time developing from wild animals, to farm workers, to warriors on the battlefield, to carriage pullers, show horses, and pets. Horses have had many opportunities and the ability to work alongside people playing a vital role in many different tasks they have been assigned to. Horses are willing, courageous, and hardy workers as they allow humans to ride and work with them. Though, have you ever seen a horse do something unnatural and have you ever thought that a human may tweak a horse’s natural ability to obtain a new skill that catches the human eye? Horses being harmed affects many people whether it be someone who is in the horse industry, someone who fights for animal rights, a person who just likes to look at horses or ride them on occasion, or even just someone who cares about animals in general. It also sometimes has an impact on people who work in the court room whether it be a judge, an attorney, or a clerk when a case involving horses being harmed goes to court. Many people in this world care about how horses are treated and can be affected when they are harmed. There a several harmful practices used on horses that differ breed to breed and within different disciplines that affect a horses physical and mental state as well as negatively impacting the horse industry as a whole and something needs to be done to prevent
