backline. My fitness weakness is my speed. Speed is defined as the ability to put body parts into action quickly. Speed is used to sprint. Sprinting is anaerobic respiration which is working at a very high intensity or at your maximum level of exertion. Speed is extremely important to ensure that as a centre back I can keep up with attackers making darting runs. Although my cardio vascular endurance is at a high level, my speed lets me down. Skill / tactic strength – fully justified with reference to recent performances Within my chosen activity of football I have decided to highlight passing as one of my strengths. Passing the ball is a key part of association football. The purpose of passing is to keep possession of the ball by manoeuvring it on the ground between different players with the objective of advancing it up the playing field. My biggest justification for choosing passing as my strength is that as a centre back, I am often faced with the ball at my feet and am expected to play the ball out.
