Overpaid, Overrated, and Eventually Futile SPORTS Rule! Woo, go sports. Wait, how much did you say they get paid for this? Athletes will usually be paid in three ways. The salary they earn from their contract. Endorsements, like selling merchandise such as clothes and shoes. Then they get winning bonuses, like if they win a championship or breaking a record. Every way they get paid, athletes still make way too much. If you cut every athletes salary in half, they would be fine in this world. Jason Giambi (steroid man) back in the day had a salary of 23.4 million a year. Giambi made 1,860,000 for each home run hit. Carlos Pena makes 800,000 a year and hit home runs farther and in greater quantities. Plus, he’s steroid free (It’s Always Either Too Much or Too Little). I don’t think I need to explain this one. Why not read through what I just said. Then you can decide who is overrated and underrated. When athletes get overhyped, they get annoying. Then they get paid millions for being annoying. AHHH!
