Assignment 3c Problem Solving

I attend an apostolic ministry that believes solely in the healing power of God. We practice the laying on of hands, praying in tongues and everything associated with the new testament, and the book of Acts. We have many different types of people coming through our doors. There is a young man, David who suffers from mental disabilities and down syndrome. David loves to dance. Every Sunday that David and his mom attends church this one song “I will dance like David Danced” comes on, he jumps up and immediately dances around to church.
People have called him crazy, stupid, and all kinds of names, yet the power of God falls heavily when he dances around the church, people are healed and set free. The

People have pumped Him up and used Him as the pin- up poster boy. Exploiting the very Glory of God. The Lord is using David in ways spiritual I’ve never witnessed. Yet after the song is over, no one pays David any attention.
The error was committed because people always look for something good to cling on to. The draw from the attention that happens excites everyone to react emotionally. It is a fifty- fifty chance that everyone is in the spiritual and is moving by the spirit. If David was not stereotyped as disabled or mentally impaired would there be the same affect or reaction to the dance. David’s disability is not overlooked at all; it is however underestimated.
I do believe that reasons may have change in the songs plays on Sunday’s if David is in service. The error in the context of the decisions made look appealing but it is emotional based. I most definitely believe that The Lord uses people. He doesn’t look at the outer appearance of his servants he looks at the heart of a
