The Aryan Brotherhood is a large prison gang, spread out in many United States prisons. They, in fact, are still active today. The Aryan Brotherhood is also a racist group, and are very violent. In this following document you will learn of the Aryan Brotherhood’s many atrocities. This document was formed for an 8th grade English class. The Aryan Brotherhood is a massive, widespread gang of criminals, former inmates, and racists. They have a rough total of twenty thousand members across the United States. They, being racist aside being criminals, have enemies, like the Black Guerrilla Family (BGF), Crips, Bloods, El Rukns. Many of these groups are black or mexican, as their names may have stated. The first was Michael “Big Mac” McElhiney. He, and others, were tired of being stuck in prison, or control units. They were also “bribed”, so to speak, with immunity to prosecution, food, cigarettes, good housing etc. to leak information to the FBI. This produced a 140 page indictment withholding 32 murders accountable to the AB. Michael was worried for the future of the Aryan Brotherhood, so he went to court, and called many members to it as defense witnesses. The court may have slipped a bit, letting all of them stay in the same building together. This allowed the group to formulate a decent defense plan. They also sent notes to a large amount of prisons and threatened the top gang of the time, the Dirty White Boys, to join the Aryan Brotherhood or be “hit” on site. These notes that had been sent contained the words, quote, “Kill as many D.C. n@##$%& as possible”. But this attack never came about, as it was planned on Halloween night, 1999. When Michael went back to court, he was in the midst of a deadlocked jury, so he was returned to his cell, but he had to get out. The Aryan Brotherhood was losing power in the Federal Bureau of Prisons. All the remaining AB wanted to do was get out of the Control Units.
