Article Critique - STRATEGIC HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT IN THE MARITIME KNOWLEDGE BASEDORGANIZATION.

The article I selected concerns strategic human resource management in which it explains how the employees can be made to be valuable assets of the maritime companies. This can be done by carefully selecting the most equipped personnel during the recruitment stage and continuous development throughout employment especially in knowledge based organization (Blagovest, Hanzu - Pazara, R., & Nistor, C. 2010, P.13).
The article looks at the roles of human resource despite the development of technology and why human resources are important in ships. The article analyses the various functions as to why the human resource cannot be substituted by the technology in the maritime companies. It continues to elaborate the functions of human resource subsystems. In summary, the article concludes by commenting that the best way to move forward is to increase the development of the human resource by strategically planning for their growth in line with the technology growth (Blagovest et al, 2010). .

All organizations should clearly select and employ human resource who can well integrate with the organizational activities.
