The Arizona Diamondbacks were one of the busiest teams this off-season trying to rebuild into a contender quickly. They bolstered their rotation with Zach Grinke and Shelby Miller those moves haven't necessarily worked out quite as well as Arizona envisioned to start the season, but both look to have gotten back on track. They also addressed the offensive side of the ball acquiring second baseman Jean Segura from the Milwaukee Brewers. This move was very savvy by the Diamondbacks because I think Segura’s value significantly dropped with two consecutive down years. Segura has dealt with personal tragedy as well, losing his infant son a year ago I believe that played a significant role in his baseball struggles over the last couple of years.

Roger Clemens is arguably one of the greatest pitchers ever in Major League Baseball history. Clemens has built an astounding and exciting career filled with impressive statistics that may rarely be duplicated. His career extends from the early 1980’s into the new millennium, and continues today. The Braves moved to Atlanta in 1966. The Braves didn’t have the best teams from 1966-1990, no World Series titles, just not up to where they had been in earlier years. In 1990 the braves had the worst record in baseball, and then in 1991, they went from worst to first, and went to the World Series. They went again in 1992, but unfortunately, they lost both times. However, in 1995 the Braves went to the Championship of baseball once again, they represented the National League, and the Cleveland Indians represented the American League. The Series went six games, and in game six the Braves won, beating the Indians, one to nothing, and winning the World Series.

People want sports to be as exciting and thrilling as before, but without the human error that may turn some baseball fans away. This spring will be the first that the review rule will be in effect, it is a radical decision and game changing because baseballs history is so rich and its structured has not been changed in so long. These changes are not without skepticism though because people believe that the game has been so successful and before being “fair” was not the biggest priority of the game.
