Have you ever wondered about women in the military? Women now have the ability to serve their country. Men have been able to serve in the military since the first battle. Women did not have that choice. Because of this mark in history, men are more likely to join. It took a long time for people to accept women in the military. It provides sacrifice, standards to follow, having the choice of serving or not, the joy of achieving one goal and the honor of serving. Pride, honor and sacrifice are the outcomes of joining the military. Women that join the military tend to have a better perspective on life. For example, if a negative situation came about, that women would work it all out until it was completely finished. Pride comes with joining the military. For example, after one's mission and with success, then one feels proud of what their achievements were. Honor also comes with serving. For example, women have a high respect and recognition for their country. Men and women who serve believe and trust in the military values. A lot of sacrifice is made when one joins the service. They are away from family, deployed to other countries, and have long days sacrificing for your country. A soldier would do anything to …show more content…

For example, one must first go through basic training. It takes hard work, lots of physical training, working as a team, learning how to respect others and ones-self. For example, if one were to listen, do as your told, study hard and stay fit, then they could achieve their goal of passing basic training. People can see how one has changed and for the better. "I admire the military. I guess in a world of villains and heroes, they're my heroes. Their dedication, their commitment, their discipline, their code of ethics" (Cena). This shows that of all the discipline and hard work it will pay off for the better. Women serve for a certain goal and with hard work and sacrifice they can achieve
