The Great Outdoors My dad always tells me “You’ll never find anything more enjoyable than spending time outdoors.” Today, many kids do not go outside very much, because they want to stay in and play their electronics. Camping is a great and enjoyable way to spend time outside because you can hunt, fish, and ride horses. First, I think hunting is a good way to spend time outside. When you go hunting you get to see the world’s true beauty. Getting up and starting the day early lets you see the true beauty of the world. Fishing helps you learn a good character trait, patience. When you go fishing you have to be patient, because sometimes it takes a long time to catch something. When I go fishing it always brings me peace. Picture this, you’re out on your boat and everything is calm and all you feel is the breeze and you hear the birds, you feel like time has stopped. Also, you can have a competition with your friends. Whoever catches the most fish that day wins. Finally, fishing gives you many skills in life, even though you’re having fun. In addition, something I really enjoy doing is riding horses. Riding horses can take you on an adventure. Being in the woods and making your own path is thrilling, you never want to get off. Also, to me when I race horses I feel free. The horse can take you anywhere at any speed, and you’re always in control. Horse races are good ways to keep your horse in shape, and it’s good for competition. Racing is a great way to go other places and meet people that enjoy the same things as you. Therefore, riding horses can be a new and exciting adventure in the great outdoors. In conclusion, there are several ways to get out to do something new.
