The ethics behind meat eating has always been a very controversial topic. Some say that it's okay to eat meat, such as pork, whereas others say it's not okay to eat it. The topic of eating meat, such as pork, chicken, fish, and beef is an important issue because it deals with what you, personally, think is right and how this issue could possibly have an impact on sentient beings, our health, the environment and more. Knowing the fact behind the ethics of eating meat can you make your own decision on whether or not you choose to eat it. Personally, I do not think it is right to consume things, such as pork. The first reason why I don't think it's right is because of how pigs are treated in factory farms. Pigs are usually held in crates that are very small. Processed meat such as bacon, sausage, bacon, pork chops, hot dogs etc., are known to cause many health problems and diseases. Consumption of these products can increase your risk of having cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and more. Pork-based products are often high in fat and sodium as well. Another reason why pork is considered unhealthy because of they could possibly still contain “fecal contamination, urine, bile, hair, intestinal contents, diseased animals, toenails” Simon, Michele (2015, November 4). Antibiotics are also commonly used when factory farming pigs. Though people might assume that it's a good things to use antibiotics, because it would make sure the pigs aren't sick, it actually isn't a good thing. It's not considered a a good because pigs can still develop diseases that are resistant to antibiotics. “The antibiotics and pesticides remain in their bodies and are passed along to people who eat them, creating serious health hazards for humans”
