Today, we face the problem of getting kids to make healthy choices in their diet. Students spend about half of their day in school eating breakfast and lunch.That’s why it is important to put healthy foods in their lunch. Although, students complain about not being able to consume sugary drinks or sweets it is for the best. They don’t see that many kids who struggle with obesity or being overweight are regretting not making better choices in the past. If we want kids to be more active and healthy we have to convince them by banning candy and soda.

Many may complain that the government is trying to control us and have no right in choosing what we can and can’t eat.This statement is true, but to a certain limit. “Because When faced with a problem as complicate as our nation’s childhood obesity epidemic, it’s easier to simply assign blame to sugary drinks and snacks, rather than tackling the various roots of the problem”, says Wilson. Sugary drinks and snacks to have an enormous impact on obesity.There are many horrific effects to ingesting that food. Soda creates gas inside of your stomach making it hurt after too much.In extreme cases, it can also clog your veins from too much fat going into your body and cause heart problems. Furthermore, offering classes like cooking, gym, or nutrition can help, but students will take it as a joke of the school does not ban those foods. Yes, they may crave or snake in junk food, but that is why we should give them options. A few examples are: fruit gummies, cookies with low sugars, or energy bars, and chips that are baked.
