As election day creeps forward, I start to think about how lucky or in a sense not so lucky I am to have this be my first time voting. People could look at me and say that I am lucky because I get to vote for the first time and voting is a such an honor that we possess as Americans. On the other hand, I may be not so lucky because this is “the most important election” of my life this far and there is not one candidate that is clearly better than the other in my eyes. As election day moves closer and closer, I hope to keep educating myself on each candidates position on important topics.

As an American, I look for certain characteristics, traits and views that the presidential candidate have at the time. I have learned about all of the candidates mainly through research online and by watching the presidential debates and the vice presidential debate. Obviously there are two candidates to focus on but, mine has been on Donald Trump. Donald Trump is known for multiple things like being racist, making rude comments towards women and wanting to “build a wall”. This has made his views on issues very interesting which is another reason why I am focusing on them.
There are at least 2 million convicted criminal aliens currently inside the United States and the current immigration policy costs taxpayers about 300 billion a year. For the past 15 years or so there have been 380 foreign-born individuals who were convicted in terror cases inside the United States. Trump plans to build a wall that Mexico would pay for along the southern boarder that would be impenetrable and the work would begin on day one.
