Chimpanzees are viewed as closest to human livings because of their linked DNA and capabilities to survive both in the wild and structured areas. Their personality is usually viewed as calm and reserved depending on their living styles. Are chimpanzees a lot like humans? The hypothesis in regard to this question is that chimpanzees are not like humans because of their inability to do things we human are capable of doing. In addition, they are smart primates that are able to cognitively think and react to things that are highly similar to what humans are capable of doing. The method used for this observation was by watching online videos and reading articles that informed useful information and facts about chimpanzees. Also, more informations were gathered by short zoo visits of similar species. First, watching online videos showed how interesting and relatable chimpanzees are to human capabilities. “Closely linked by DNA, chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes) are one of the four species of great apes that are the closest living relatives of humans” (Lkiwaner). In this example, one can see that because of their closely linked DNA to us humans, they are perceived as close relatives to humans. Likewise, when visiting a zoo that had similar species of chimpanzees, they seemed to mind their own business concentrate on what was important to them at that time. They were not species who run around wild but had self control and security even with others knocking on their glass walls. Correspondingly, humans are similar to these act of behaviors as it is important for them to keep their posture and act appropriately without being trained to.
