BREASTFEEDING 2 Years ago people did not see right that a women feed a baby in public. Now breastfeeding in public looks normal. More women are feeding their babies in public places without worry. Breastfeeding in public areas still a taboo because some people thinks that this natural and sweet act of breastfed should be in a place where only the mother and the baby could be. This beautiful act of breastfeeding should not be hiding. Women have rights to feed their babies anywhere not only at home. Breastfeeding should be important for all in a family because this is important for both mothers and babies. Breastfeeding protect a newborn baby from illness. Breastfeeding is the normal way of feeding an infant (Wade et al., 2009). When a mother feeds her baby with breast milk this baby has lower risk for diarrhea and vomiting. Breastfeeding is a full concentration of nutrients and vitamins that a baby needs after born. The first days after birth your breast makes an ideal first milk called colostrum (Chatfield, 2001). Human milk plays an important role in neuropsychological developments (Dobson & Murtaugh, 2001). Premature babies feed with breast milk have faster brainstem maturation compared with babies fed with human milk substitute (Dobson & Murtaugh, 2001). A baby feeds with breast milk has less risks of psychological problem. These cognitive developmental benefits increased with the duration of breastfeeding (Dobson & Murtaugh, 2001).
