Recommended: Effects of concussions in youth football

The first reason football is absolutely unsafe is because they’re have been fatal injuries through all levels of football critics often argue that injuries are apart of life and most people get injured in their lifetime however, those injuries can lead to fatal situations in the future. For example, Scott Hallenbeck said even if he had a young son he still wouldn’t let him play football because of the risk of injury. If a kid gets too many concussions he’ll eventually either end up ending all their sports careers or end up having CTE. CTE can develop from the repetitive hits that are an unavoidable part of football. A third of all athletic injuries now occur in players under age 14 children who are getting hit hard repetitive have a more likely chance to get CTE later on in life (Part of the game, Page 2). As kids get bigger and stronger their football hits will get harder and harder so they football leagues are gonna have to improve their equipment big time(Part of the game, Page 2). In sum, football can be dangerous but it can also be a fun game. Parents will always argue about their kids getting hurt but they’re usually the ones to force them into the sport. After, Pop Warner football participation dropped 9.5 percent between 2010 and 2012 the number of kids dropping out has increased (Football Just Too Dangerous, Page 1). After that, Pop Warner conceded the danger when it announced in June that it would limit high-speed contact in practices (Playing Hurt, Page 3).
