In the 21st century, we acknowledge the changes of life experience is more challenging nowadays. The surrounding life that exposed to negative elements increases the tendency towards unhealthy lifestyle and social problems especially among teenagers. The growing cases of disgraceful acts of dumping new born babies and fetuses in the world recently alarm the society to take serious attention in handling this matter. We also can see most of the medium informers such as mass media and electronic media highlight the baby dumping cases every day. The problem seems to be a trend of young people and who should we blame? Is it the parents should be responsible for this problem or is it the youths that should be blamed? This matter also involves the surrounding communities when the problem is getting serious because it never ends. Recently, the world is facing a serious matter regarding baby dumping which is getting more chronic and causing a lot of attention. The issue of baby dumping will be focus more compared to others since it is the often spoken topic among the public recently even though this crime had been reported for the past ten years. The issue regarding baby dumping and infanticide is getting worse nowadays however there are many ways and solutions to overcome this problem. What exactly baby dumping is all about? There are several definitions that are related to this topic which covers different aspects. It is not just leaving the new born babies but deeply refer “the issues involving infants aged less than 12 months left in the open or closed with the intention to get rid of baby regardless the security threats of the baby’s life” (Journal, Rathakrishnan et al., 2013). However, it is best if we manage to avert from committing this disgraceful deed rather than to fix this problem because it is wasteful to cry over spilt milk. As has been discussed earlier, there are many factors render to this issue such as embarrassment; partner is not willing to stay and get married; influence by pornographic materials; and many more. As the results, there are many consequences derive from those misconducts including it affects health; increase the death of teenage mother as well as baby; and others. Not to worry, there are also ways to overcome this issue such as the help from parents and health professionals; self-dignity and sacrifice; sexual education; religious programs and many more. Therefore, baby dumping and infanticide are issues that must be taken seriously.
